11 Reasons Why Every Affiliate Marketer Should Learn SEO

As an affiliate marketer, you probably spend a LOT of time thinking of ways to drive traffic to your site.
After all, no traffic = no affiliate sales.
The two main sources of traffic for most websites are usually:
1. Organic Search
2. Paid Advertising
Social media and other sources will also bring visitors to your site, but these are usually your two best bets for consistent, ongoing traffic.

Why Should You Care About Organic Search?

Of these two main sources of traffic, search always comes out on top. In fact, a recent study by Experian Marketing Services found that on average, 87% of a website’s traffic comes from organic sources. This percentage of course, varies by industry. However it doesn’t change the fact that the majority of traffic in almost every industry comes from people typing their queries into Google or another search engine and clicking on the links in the results.
This means if your website is not optimized for search, you are potentially losing out on large amounts of traffic.
But what do I mean by "optimized for search"? I mean, your website should be created and maintained according to several widely accepted best practices for search engine optimization. You should also implement your other marketing efforts (especially content marketing and social media marketing) keeping your SEO goals in mind.

Why Should You Learn SEO?

OK, so we know SEO is important. But, there are thousands of SEO experts in the world. Wouldn’t it just be easier to hire someone to do your SEO instead of trying to understand it all?
Yes, of course. I definitely think it’s a good idea to hire someone with SEO expertise to help you out. However, if you develop an understanding of how search engine optimization works, your affiliate marketing efforts will ultimately benefit from it. In fact, by understanding what your SEO provider does, you may be able to get more out of the services they provide.
But if you're still not convinced the additional SEO knowledge will do you any good, here are 11 reasons why every affiliate marketer should learn SEO.
(By the way, our free lesson, Introduction to Affiliate Marketing SEO, is a great place to get started with your SEO learning.)

1. Understand Search Engines

You get that search traffic is important, but do you understand what it takes for your website to do well on a search engine? How do GoogleBing and Yahoo even work?
google
When you learn SEO, you don't just learn a new marketing skill. You actually start to understand how search engines work. This is hugely useful when you're in the business of driving traffic to your site.
Search engines consistently crawl the web for new content (links) and index them so when a person performs an online search, Google/Bing/Yahoo can deliver the most relevant results for their search query. The results are ranked so the most popular link for a search term (or the one most likely to give an answer) appears at the top (number 1 position).
But how does a search engine determine the most popular and relevant site for a search term?
Well, we don't actually know. Search engines rely on secret algorithms to decide what pages to show. SEO experts make educated guesses about what goes into those algorithms based on common factors in high-ranking websites. And Google occasionally drops little hints about what's important, too. These have led to best practices and general guidelines for SEO that make it possible for website owners like yourself to build sites specifically to get found by the search engines.
I recommend checking out Google's website on How Search Works to get a deeper understanding of what really goes on behind the scenes of the number one search engine.

By developing a more thorough understanding of search engines and terms like crawling and indexingpage rank and more, you will become more aware of what it takes to optimize your website and benefit from increased search traffic.

2. Improve Your Website's Design

Once you begin to understand how search engines work, you will see that a good website is not just about a pretty design and some clever content. While the focus of modern SEO is to make websites human-friendly, it's important to remember that how you and I see a website is different from how search engines view it.
For your website to be truly search engine friendly, it must follow some pretty technical specifications for design and development.
Learning SEO will help you grasp the importance of aspects of website creation, such as:
  • Creating quality content.
  • Making your content indexable.
  • Organizing your website into a proper structure.
  • The proper use of keywords in your site content.
  • Having quality inbound and outbound links for your website
Here's some advice from Google on how to create a Google-friendly site.
An understanding of SEO will ensure you don't waste your time making website changes that don't deliver results. Plus, for any new websites you launch, you will also know how to structure your site and optimize it right from the start.

3. Optimize Your Content

You don't need me to tell you this, but... content is king.
On your site, on your blog, on social media... everywhere you look, the web is overflowing with millions of pieces of content.
But, how much of it is actually good quality?
In the early days of the web, it took very little to get your website to do well on a search engine. In 2015, that has completely changed. The major search engines are heavily focused on the quality of your website now, and your content has a lot to do with it.
Quality content is not just about creating a great blog post or a fun infographic. It's about building an entire website that delivers that same quality. For search engines, good content is a sign of a site that is considerate of its visitors; one that tries to anticipate and answer questions. It's all about a good user experience.
11 types of contentCheck out this really helpful e-book by SEO.com on 11 Types of Content You Should Be Creating For SEO Right Now.
Here are some guidelines from the major search engines on how to create quality content for your site:
If you're hiring people to do your content, it's important that they create something that won't get you penalized by search engines. When you learn SEO, you also learn what makes for good content so you can guide your writers, designers, bloggers and other content creators in the right direction. Or, if you're doing it all yourself, you'll know how to produce content that will impress your site visitors and search engines.

4. Figure Out What to Do with Keywords

Most people, even if they don't quite get SEO, understand that keywords play a big role in the world of search engines. This is true.
Keywords are fundamental to the search process. It's how users communicate what they're searching for. The search engines deliver results based on these keywords.
Search engines measure how keywords are used within your website. This helps them determine how relevant your website is for particular search queries. So, it's essential that you use specific, highly relevant keywords to maximize your opportunities for appearing in search results.
But, be careful of keyword abuse. In the early days of the web, stuffing as many keywords as possible onto a page was a common practice. This no longer works and in fact, will count as keyword abuse and will probably get you penalized. Now, it's more important to use your keywords in a relevant, natural way.
keyword stuffing
Don't be this person! Write naturally so your visitors feel you're having a real conversation.
Understanding how keywords work will be very helpful for you because:
  • You can identify which keywords are relevant for you.
  • When you do keyword research, you now know what to look for.
  • If you hire a writer for your web content, you can guide them on proper keyword usage.
  • You will understand where keywords need to be used, e.g., on page content, in title tags, in meta descriptions, etc.

5. Understand How Link-Building Works

Links are another big part of the SEO puzzle.
Search engines use links to analyze a website's popularity, trustworthiness, authority, and much more.  However, not all links are made equal. A trustworthy site is likely to link to another trustworthy site — not to spammy sites. This often helps a search engine determine the quality of links.
The more popular and trustworthy a site, the more significant it is to have a link from them.
So, to make the most of your link-building efforts, you need to make sure you're acquiring links from other relevant, popular and trustworthy sites. These will be helpful for your website's SEO. Paying for 1,000 irrelevant links will do you no good.
link building
Link-building is an important task for SEO. Whether you're doing your own link building or hiring someone else to do it, you need to understand how it works to make sure you're only building quality links.

6. Build Your Online Reputation

When you learn SEO and do it right, your site will start to show up in more search results, thus boosting your brand's online visibility.
How does a boost in your visibility help you? When you start to show up in the results for all the relevant search terms for your industry, your audience and customers will start to think of you as a leader in the industry.
I'm not making this up. People trust organic search engine results more than paid ads.
On average, people believe organic results are more likely to be current and relevant. They want the most authoritative sources. In short, they believe they are getting the best information via search engine results.
So when you understand SEO, you can figure out how to optimize your site to appear in the results for more queries that are relevant for your customers. The more they see you, the more they will start to trust your site.

7. Get More Traffic to Your Website

A website optimized for search engines is definitely going to start getting you more traffic.
Another experiment also found that 60% of "direct traffic" reported in your data may actually be attributed to organic search.
With people more likely to click on search results than paid ads, it's only natural that if your website is more visible online, you will start to see more people visiting your site.
Search engines are the first point of contact for most people looking for information. SEO helps you understand how to make your site more visible to the right audience, which in turn results in more traffic to your site.

8. Make More Money

make more moneySay your website currently gets a 100 visitors a day. Let's also say that 2% of your visitors click through to your ads and this makes you $2 a day.
Now, your website is getting a 1,000 visitors a day thanks to solid SEO. You have the same 2% click-through rate. This means you're now making $20 a day!
If you experience a jump in traffic thanks to your SEO efforts, this is eventually going to boil down to increased revenue from your website — especially if your website is optimized to make your traffic convert to sales. Who doesn't like more money?
But to make this extra money, you really have to develop an understanding of what SEO is, how it works and how you can make it work for you.

9. Market Yourself for Free

SEO is free marketing.
Pay-per-click advertising requires you to set daily/monthly budgets that you are willing to spend to buy advertising space on search engines. Each click on an ad will cost you money, and if you're in a particularly competitive industry, clicks can sometimes cost $40-50!
free marketing
Clicks on organic results don't cost you any money. All you have to do is maintain your position in the rankings, and the traffic you get is completely free.
Of course, you will be spending time and energy optimizing your site in the first place. It's going to cost you some hours, even if it costs you no money. You can also hire someone else to do the initial work, which will put a dent in your budget. But then you can save money by doing your ongoing SEO maintenance yourself — because you'll understand how SEO works!

10. Protect Yourself From Sketchy SEO Practices

If you're working with an SEO expert, it's doubly important to at least have an idea of what they're going to do for your site.
There are thousands of SEO providers out there, and while a lot of them are very good, some will engage in sketchy practices. Their aim is to show you results right away, but there's a few problems with that:
  1. These results will be short term.
  2. Your site could end up with a penalty.
  3. Google could de-index you for spammy SEO practices.
By learning a bit about search engine optimization, you'll learn the difference between what is good (white hat SEO) and what is bad (black hat SEO). Avoid black hat tactics, and if your SEO provider tries to suggest anything sketchy that falls into this category, you know to send them packing straightaway. SEO takes time, so don't be frustrated if you don't jump in the search rankings overnight!

11. Become a Better Affiliate Marketer

Your end goal is not to become better at SEO, but to become better at affiliate marketing...right?
By gaining an understanding of SEO, you will:
  • Make better, more SEO-friendly websites, right from the beginning.
  • Get better at driving traffic to your website.
  • Create better, more relevant content for your site.
  • Build high quality links to your site.
  • Improve your website's authority in the industry.
  • Outdo the competition (especially if they're not doing SEO).
  • Spot more opportunities for growing your site and business.
Nobody knows your business better than you, and SEO will only help to enhance that.
Does this make you want to learn SEO to improve your affiliate marketing efforts?
If you already do SEO for yourself, what do you think has been the number one benefit of learning SEO for affiliate marketing?
P.S. If you're looking for a tool that shows you whether your SEO efforts are getting you anywhere, we have something for you: AffiloTools automatically tracks your rankings in great detail and in multiple search engines so you can see real results.

Traffic Academy: Get In the Driver’s Seat! (Part 2)

Welcome to Part 2 of our guide to driving traffic online!
In Traffic Academy Part 1, we covered what online traffic is, why it matters, and how you can increase it using free methods.
In this section, we will cover the paid methods you can use including Facebook ads, banner ads, solo ads, and PPC advertising.
By the end of this series, you will have the knowledge to form a strategy which integrates both paid and free traffic methods to get the results you are looking for.
Let’s get started!

Paid Traffic Methods

Facebook Ads

Facebook ads are available through the Facebook platform as long as you have an active Facebook business page.
Facebook offers a user friendly ad creation process that you access right from your profile page.
The native ads they provide can appear in the newsfeed of your audience so they blend in with other posts.
Alternatively, they can appear in the right-hand column of the desktop version of Facebook.

fb-ads

There are many objectives you can choose from depending on what your goals are.
You can drive traffic to your website, drive conversions, increase app downloads, increase video views, or even just boost a post to reach more people!

fb-campaign

Once you select your objective, you can target your audience using very detailed options.
From demographics to interests to behaviors, Facebook really allows you to fine tune your audience.
They even allow you to create custom audiences through existing lists you have, and look-a-like audiences so you can target users who are similar to those on a list you already have.
For more on targeting and audiences, check out our Facebook Targeting 101 post here.
Once you target your audience, you will select your schedule, set your budget, design your ad, add in calls to action, and then place your order.
When you have ads running, you can track their performance and cost in the Facebook Insights section.
It is a relatively easy process and the ads have shown they can be very effective.
Facebook continues to focus on improving the experience for their users by limiting the amount of organic business posts in news feeds in favor of friends and family posts.
Facebook ads can help you to still get the exposure you need to reach your desired audience!

Best Practices

When designing an ad for Facebook, keep in mind that visually appealing ads do best.
Be sure to choose engaging media whether it’s an image or video.
You will also want to invest some time into strategizing your ad copy as you have a small amount of space to engage and interest the reader to click through.
It can also be helpful to create different messages to different audiences.
You can create an ad targeted at people who have never heard of your business before, one to retarget those who have previously visited your website, and one for those who have watched your videos, etc.
Lastly, once your ads are posted, be sure to always follow up to gauge ad performance and make adjustments accordingly.
Better yet, try out this tool to check out the ads that have worked for your competition and save yourself some of the guesswork!

Banner Ads

Next up are banner ads.
These are advertisements that you can purchase that will show up in rectangular displays horizontally or vertically on host web pages.
They are typically image-based with some text and can link to the destination that you choose.
You can pay host sites for these advertisements using 3 pricing models: views, clicks, and conversions.
If you are interested in investing in banner ads, you can buy them direct from websites (i.e. Waze), by joining an ad network, or by hiring an ad agency through a catalog type environment where you buy remnant from various publishers (i.e. Google Adwords).
There are various sites available for banner ads, but here are some options you can check out:
http://web.blogads.com
https://www.buysellads.com
http://valueclick.com/
http://www.bannerspace.com/
http://www.eads.com/
http://www.doubleclick.net/

Best Practices

When using banner ads, you’ll want to identify your goal, who you are targeting, and what websites your target audience visits.
Once you know, it is time to design your banner. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

  • Identify what you want to communicate in the small space available
  • Keep your message clear
  • Include a call to action
  • Use colors that match your branding
  • Consider interactive elements to attract more attention
  • Stick to standard sizes
  • Create a hierarchy
  • Forget flash
As far as designing the banner, you could hire a professional web designer, a freelancer off a site like 99designs, or create your own.
There are also services like envatostudio available which handle all the back end coding for you so you can just design it from the front end.
These can be a viable option for reaching a new audience and directing them to your desired destination.

Solo Ads

solo-ads

Above is an example of a solo ad vendor website.
Solo ads are another great opportunity for you to reach a new audience, particularly if you know your conversion rate based on past data.
With solo ads, basically you create an ad in the form of an email.
Then you find a vendor who has targeted lists of email addresses and you pay them to send your email to their list.
Now, to be clear, you are not buying an email list.
An email you create is sent out to someone else’s list as a way for you to reach their audience.
It is important to understand that there is a risk in solo ads because you are trusting that the vendor has a list of engaged recipients and that they are actually sending your email to them.
You will want to choose a vendor who is reputable to decrease your risk.
You will also want to look for a vendor that offers performance-based pricing models in comparison to fixed rates.
This will ensure you are only paying for click-throughs, opens, and conversions.

Best Practices

Once you decide you want to use solo ads, it is important to calculate your marketing budget in order to ensure your investment is profitable.
You will need to name your goal, for example: email sign-ups, sales, etc.
Then calculate how much each conversion is worth to you and how often conversions to your target audience occur.
For example, if you get 100 email subscribers and 5 out of every 100 subscribers buy your product or service which costs $150 a piece, then every 100 email subscribers is worth $750 gross.
Then look at your conversion rates from the solo ad.
If you can get 100 subscribers and still end up profitable after your costs then this can be a useful tactic.
To find reputable vendors, you can go to well-known sites like Udimi.
In general, just keep in mind that if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
Lastly, when creating a solo ad, keep in mind you have a small window to make an impression.
Your headline must be eye catching, your copy engaging, and you need to include a strong call to action that directs readers where you want them to go.
For more information about solo ads check out our Beginner’s Guide to Solo Ads article here.

PPC

In section 1 of this guide we talked about SEO and how to increase traffic organically by using certain tactics.
While highly impactful, it can take quite awhile to climb up to first page rankings.
If you need results faster, that is where pay per click (PPC) comes in.
PPC advertising allows you to display ads and only be charged when people actually click on them.
This means you can be making impressions and increasing brand awareness without paying.
Paid ads show up above organic search results on the search engine results page (SERP).
Here is an example where you can see the top results are marked as ads:

While getting to the top of search engine results can take some time with SEO, paid ads allow you to buy your spot right away.
However, it has been reported that organic search results have an 8.5x higher click through rate.
So, paid ads have their place as a part of a joint campaign with organic SEO efforts.

Best Practices

When running a paid ad campaign, keyword research is of the utmost importance.
You will need to use a tool such as the Google Keyword Planner to identify the right words to target.
You will find that short tail generic keywords like ‘sweaters’ are searched more, have more competition, and cost more to bid on.

average-monthly-keyword-searches

Long tail keywords like “hoodie sweaters for women” which are more specific to your product or service, are searched less and are more affordable.
Additionally, these long tail keywords often have higher conversion rates as the people who type them are further along in their buying journey.
So, your campaign should include a balance of both.
Once you have your keywords chosen, you design an ad which will be relevant and attractive so that searchers will click on it.
Then the ad should lead to a destination which is also relevant to the ad and keywords.
In choosing which ad gets shown, Google takes into consideration what is known as the quality score.
This is basically an analysis of how relevant and effective your ad is to the page it leads to as well as the results of the click through.
So the more relevant and effective your ad, the more it will be shown.
As your campaigns run, you should be tracking and analyzing results to find out which ads and keywords are most effective.
Over time, you can improve campaigns and earn a higher ROI.
The ideal ads will result in high click-through rates and conversions with a lower cost per click.
To learn more about PPC Advertising, check out our article on 8 Reasons to Try PPC.

Time for Action!

Now you have an understanding of the fundamentals of driving traffic!
It’s important to consider the benefits available from both paid and free methods and to combine them strategically.
For example, if you have implemented an active social media presence on Facebook and Instagram paid Facebook ads can expand your reach even further.
Additionally, by implementing SEO practices on your website and blog you can climb the ranks of organic search engine results, while PPC advertising campaigns can give you visibility in paid results.
By doing both, you can end up with total domination of the search results page for your terms.
A combined strategy is the best strategy.
With this in mind, take some time to review your options.
Here is a quick overview of what we covered through this 2-part guide to driving traffic:

Free Traffic Sources

  • Email marketing
  • Blogging
  • Social media
  • SEO

Paid Traffic Sources

  • Facebook ads
  • Solo ads
  • Banner ads
  • PPC
By experimenting with the different channels available and tracking your results, you can gradually find those which work best for your business.
As a result, you can invest your marketing budget and time into those channels.
Also, always remember to strike a balance between free and paid traffic.
This will benefit your wallet and help your efforts since free and paid traffic methods drive different types of results.
Finally, don’t be frustrated if your results aren’t what you hoped for right away.
It is important to think of your marketing strategy as an ongoing process of refinement rather than one you get perfect on the first try.
The only way to really know what works is to research, plan as best you can, experiment, track and adapt.
Best of luck in your traffic driving efforts and if you have thoughts to share, feel free to comment!

5 Ways You Can Use A Sales Funnel To Build Your Network Marketing Business

Are you not seeing the results from your network marketing business that others are raving about?
Let me explain what you might be doing wrong and also how to use a sales funnel to build your business.
If you watched something online or you have received a link from someone saying they have a great opportunity, you would have seen the videos that show off how they are making seven-figure salaries.
You are eager and want to earn a seven-figure salary too, so you start your network marketing business.
After some time, you realise that you just aren’t seeing the money rolling in like was promised.
Don’t worry; you’re not the only one.
The problem is that tactics that you have probably heard are well outdated and too basic.
It is the time you step into the present and start using digital marketing and a sales funnel to reach your target.

Network Marketing LiesNewsletter_052313_09

Before I move onto how you can use a sales funnel to build your network marketing business, I want to cover which of those ‘old school’ methods you shouldn’t be doing anymore.
I would be surprised if you haven’t been told at least one of the following lies before which is why you’re probably seeking help in this very blog post right now.
Such things as trying to recruit all your friends and family will only leave you wondering what to do when you’ve exhausted that list and also the embarrassment of rejection and failure.
Let’s move onto some tactics that are useless or outdated.

It’s A Numbers Game

This is like the classic throw it at the wall and see if it sticks method.
You may have been told to try and recruit just about everyone and anyone you can think of because the more people you contact, the more you will recruit.
While this seems all very well and good, it just isn’t true.
Yes, you will get some recruits out of it but not as much as if you were to use a planned sales funnel.
You will be wasting time on contacts that have a very low chance of signing up which you could be using on more qualified contacts.

It’ll Take Off After One More Recruit

I’m not quite sure why some network marketing leaders say this.
It does nothing but give you false hope.
It will also keep you from seeing the big picture as you will be too focused on getting your next recruit.
Forget whether your next recruit is what will make your network marketing business explode.
The only thing that will make your network marketing business takes off… is you.
Focus more on what strategies you can put in place with the help of my sales funnel tips.

Spend Most Of Your Time Looking For Prospects

When you watch some (not all) help videos on network marketing, they will advise you to get out and about and put yourself in front of people.
This is yet another huge time waster; you’re not an employee of your business, you are the owner, and so you need to work on your business and not in it.
Finding prospects is just one aspect of your network marketing business, so you need to work on a sales funnel that incorporates all aspects and not just one.

Do Home Meetings

This is a very outdated method of running a network marketing business.
If you have been working super hard doing home meetings, handing out flyers at the local supermarket and organising lunch meetings, you have probably wasted a lot of your time I’m afraid to say.
There are much more modern efficient and better ways to recruit than home visits.
Such things include social mediapaid traffic, landing pages and email marketing that I will move onto now.
Now that I have spoken about things you shouldn’t be doing or focusing on, it’s time to move onto how you can use a sales funnel to build your network marketing business.

Finding Interest

B2B Prospecting Methods
The first stage of a sales funnel is to find prospects.
This doesn’t mean you need to go even out of the house and hand out flyers and or call round to people’s homes.
You can find thousands of prospects right from the comfort of your living room.
Everything is digital; from how we communicate with each other, how we find information and how we work.
This is why you need to adapt your network marketing business into digital to reap the rewards you set out to achieve.

1. Social Media

One of the best places to look online for prospects is on the different social media network.
A great place to start is to use Facebook to search for friends of friends.
By now, I’m guessing you have exhausted your list of friends and family so moving onto local friends of friends is a good move.
You can send direct messages to friends of friends but not strangers.
If you have exhausted the list of friends of friends and moved onto strangers that you find in groups or pages, you can pay-per-message.Otherwise, your messages will be sent to their “other” inbox that no-one ever sees.
Otherwise, your messages will be sent to their “other” inbox that no-one ever sees.
Keep in mind, this is still ‘manual prospecting’ at some level which we want to try and move away from.

2. Paid Traffic

Another great way to find focused prospects is with paid traffic.
Using AdWords and Facebook Ads, you can set demographics to target people who best suit your target audience.
This is so much better than just trying to recruit everyone and hope for the best.
Using focused targeting; you will only be promoting your offer to those who are likely to be interested.
You can also set remarketing pixels on your landing page, so if someone doesn’t join but keeps visiting, your ad will continue to pop up around the web to remind them of your offer.
To utilize paid to advertise to its fullest potential, you want to make sure you create a strong offer and target the right audience.
If you can bring those two parts of the advertising direction together then you have a solid strategy to put yourself in front of people who want to buy what you’re selling.
Whether you’re selling an opportunity or you’re selling a product.

Generating Prospects

Now that you have discovered where prospects are hanging out on the world wide web, the next stage is to get them to become interested in what you have to offer.
Again, this doesn’t mean that you have to pick up the phone or call out to their house to explain how it works and show them a demo. You can do all this with a video or a slideshow… or both.
You can do all this with a video or a slideshow… or both.
Remember, a sales funnel means people come to you.
You’re not doing the cold-calling.
It’s a lot easier to sell when someone has signed up to listen to something you’ve got to say because you’re offer was in front of them at the right place at the right time.
After someone has seen your offer on social media or a paid advertisement, the next stage of the sales funnel is the landing page.

3. Landing Page

You have found thousands of prospects but haven’t yet captured their email address in order to add them to your contact list to recruit. In order to now capture their email address, you will need to build a compelling and conversion optimised landing page.
In order to now capture their email address, you will need to build a compelling and conversion optimized landing page.
Your landing page should have a contact form, capturing headline, key points of the benefits of your offer and a compelling call-to-action (CTA).
It is important that your landing page is completely relevant to the paid ad or social media message you used to get that person to land on your page.
Remember, congruency is key.
So a page that is disconnected from the advertisement you’re running will yield lots of bounces and not many registrants or leads.

4. CTA’s

Having a CTA on your landing page is a lot more important than you may realise.
It is what directs the user to take the next step in the buying journey.
This doesn’t mean that a simple “submit” on your form is going to do the trick, though.
Make it stand out with the button in a contrasting color and make it personable with wording such as “Watch The Webinar Now”.
This makes it 100% clear what the user will get after they fill out the form.

Converting Prospectshow_to_calculate_conversion_rate

Now that you have got a nice list of contacts to work on now, it is time to finish the recruitment process with reassurance and to nurture.
This is the last stage in the sales funnel and is the most important because it is the money maker.
At this point, the prospect should have a pretty good idea of what you are offering and how it will benefit them after reading your Facebook message and watching the webinar.
For those who haven’t yet joined, it is time to offer further information and answer questions.

5. Email

Email marketing is the best way you can do this.
Why?
Well firstly once someone opts into your email list, that’s “owned data”.
You can reach them whenever you want (providing they don’t decide to unsubscribe).
You already have their email address, and so you can use a service like Actionetics to send FAQ’s, success stories and even a starter pack.
All of these will help answer their questions and reassure them that they too can benefit from network marketing.
An important rule with email marketing though is to segment your contact list.
This is so messages are targeted to each specific persona, how they came to become a prospect and their current behaviour.
Not only will you have higher quality prospects but you’ll be building a stronger relationship with those who are interested in what you have to offer.

Move With The Times…

All of these 5 processes have one thing in common, and that is using digital marketing.
It is time to revamp how you find prospects and how you recruit prospects and become more efficient.
There are people out there, it’s just a matter of getting you and your funnel in front of them (using ads) and then converting them.
